Just checking in again.

Thought I would share another picture or two from our recent Moroccan visit. The first is a garden in the town and the second is the view from the hotel rooftop. I cannot take  the credit for them my DH is the camera enthusiast and does seem to have a good eye for it.The card is a quick creation using graphic 45 papers. You can't see the detail of the mico beads I used as flower stamens but they did add to the dimension. Take care Gwyneth

Darling daughter's birthday

Today is my daughter's birthday so I managed to get up to lofty heights to make her a card. She likes to ride her bike so the woinderful MME lost and found collection were just the ticket. I didn't stop at one and will have to tidy the mess when I get in from work. Have a good day better get ready to earn some money to buy stash.Bye for now Gwyneth

Back home

Here we are back home from Marrakesh. The senses are assaulted from the moments you arrive. A busy bustling city. The food is fabulous and we ate mainly in the main square at night. The aromas, slights and sounds gave the place atmosphere. You had to keep your wits about you just to walk around without getting hit by motorbikes, bicycles or even the donkey carts. ( No green cross code here)The hamman was an experience not to be missed as I was gently poached and then scrubbed to reveal my inner layer before being pummeled by a rather muscular (therapist!). Skin clean and soft as a result and probably weight 1/2 a pound less following the experience. The Riad was a little oasis of peace and calm before the call to prayer from the local mosque brought you life at 4am and again at 5.30am!Back to reality of washing and dog walking

Getting ready to fly

Today is a chilly but bright day here in the Cheshire countryside. We had the results back from the vet for Mr Ben. No problems to worry about. We are also getting ready to fly to Morooco for a short break holiday. Holidays are important to recharge batteries and to understand just how important home is. DD is manning the fort whilst we are away protected by our cannine freinds. I will leave you with a card I made this week and look forward to more crafting time in lofty heights ( my crafting space, untidy but working on it). Speak again next week.

Hello again friends

As I said earlier I am hoping to update my blog weekly. Tjis week I was at my monthly crop/craft group. We are a happy group that spend as much time laughing and chatting as we do crafting. We spent some time creating shadow box pictures. I had more of a play when i got home and produced the butterfly box.
I will just share a card with you. This is what we based our shadow boxes at the group. By putting it in a shadow box means that the special cards we produce can be kept and displayed. Don't you think this is a good pressie for a new home?
 See you next week.
 Thanks for looking

Waiting for the call. I will let you know what develops........... 7pm update Mr Ben back hope following biopsy but vet seems fairly hopeful it isn't too much to worry about. Welcome home Mr Ben groggy but happy.

My second day of blogging

Good morning everyone. I am hoping I have managed to upload a photo. Still new to this and hopefully willnhave it cracked soon. You will be able to quickly see that I have a passion for Papertrey Ink produces when producing my cards. http://www.papertreyink.com/ The above card was created using one of their dies and coordinating stamps. The CD cases in the background are their stamp sets and not music. Have a good day and remember the housework will be there tomorrow!!!
Another company I use is Waltzing Mouse Stamps that coordinate with some of the spellbinder dies http://www.waltzingmousestamps.com/. I do like to add a bit of depth by layering. I am excited about starting my own blog. I have a good talented friend of mine coming this evening ( gingerpiedesigns) You must visit her blog for inspiration and a positive slant on life. Better get on with preparing the meal. As well as a passion for paper and glue Ginger also like a good meal. Go on be brave take a look at her blog.http://gingerpiedesigns.blogspot.com/
